Under the Weather :-(

Hi all, This week has been such a busy week organising customers orders and getting things ready for Christmas. I love this time of year (minus the horrible weather we are having in Scotland at the moment) Unfortunately along with this freezing, rainy December comes the dreaded colds.

Our house has been riddled with it since November on and off. The usual Lemsip and other shop bought remedies have only took the edge off the horrible symptoms. So I thought I need to get myself and the family’s immunity in better condition and work from the inside out, to prevent anymore illness.

Lately I’ve been bad for not taking vitamins or eating enough fruit and vegetables so my body is likely to be not receiving the nutrients needed to be healthy. I blame winter for this I think my body wants to fatten up and hibernate.

So as well as thinking of what dietary changes I need to make to be more healthy, I need other things to help boost my health. I have got a array of products to help aid better nutrition and my immune system, also some to help with the nasty symptoms that come with the cold – sore throats and difficulty breathing.

I am starting my morning with a nice hot cup of Echinacea tea with 15 drops of Echinacea tincture. Echinacea is widely used to fight infections, especially the common cold and other upper respiratory infections, it also helps stimulate and reinforce the immune system.

At lunch time I’m adding this lovely yummy Organic Berry Complex with Antioxidant to my food, I’ve chosen to add it to a smoothy but you can add it to anything you wish. A powerhouse of antioxidants to help boost collagen and skin’s radiance This delicious, highly nutritious organic complex is bursting with organic acerola cherry extract, rich in vitamin C, antioxidants and phytonutrients to help boost your skin’s collagen production, support your immune system and give you antioxidant protection. Carefully blended with organic superfruits, omega fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants, to provide a natural source of fibre and non-animal protein. Organic Berry Complex is ideal for all the family, vegetarians and vegans.

Also along with my smoothie I have been adding two teaspoons of Beauty Oil, This supplement helps improve skin, hair and nails with a combination of hemp, flax, avocado and evening primrose oil. As well as looking after the surface of your skin by applying nourishing skin care, the key to healthy, radiant skin lies in providing the essential nutrition that it needs to renew, maintain and repair. This Beauty Oil contains nourishing omega fatty acids, essential nutrients and anti-oxidants that the skin needs to replenish itself. I thought this is a must have especially at this time of year when the could weather plays havoc on your skin.

Last but not least these two gems have helped me fight the extreme coughing and painful throat. These are at my bedside as I always feel worse early morning and during the night. The Elderberry and Propolis Throat Spray is naturally soothing and delicious herbal blend, I love the taste and found it helped me a lot. it's made of organic honey, elderberries and propolis, the spray also helps to support the immune system and is full of natural goodness. Lastly these Eucalyptus Pastilles which are Soothing honey based pastilles with eucalyptus, propolis and mint, I hate Halls Soothers and the like so these have been a great alternative and natural . They soothing the throat and made my nose less stuffy.

Introduction - About Me

Hi everyone,

Thought that my first post on my blog should be me introducing myself to the world,  especially for those of you who don't know me.

My name is Ayngel and I am a 31 years old, living in Scotland.  I live on the outskirts of Dalkeith in Midlothian with my fantastic partner Cameron and my 3 beautiful children - Ellah(7), Halle(4) and Fraser(1)

I am a homemaker and run my own business retailing Ethical Organic Health & Beauty products (which I absolutely love)

I haven't always been a stay at home mother prior to that I was a Nursery Nurse for 8 years, but unfortunately had to give it up after the birth of my 4year old Halle as my work place at the time was unwilling to give me flexible hours.

But to be honest I'm happy being at home caring for my children.

I am now on a quest to better the life of my family and myself,  so we can live the most happy healthy life possible.... So that means making a lot of positive changes, making goals and not letting the daily grind get you down.

So I'm guessing your thinking what is this blog about?

Simple answer is - life, health, beauty and anything else I can think of

I hope you enjoy my future postings and thanks for taking the time to read my first post
